soon. I agree with Halo Z that it shouldn't cost a small fortune to reprogram and socket an ECU. I've been doing this type of work in other areas for years so figured I might as well do it with ECUs too. Of course I would like to make a couple of dollars for my effort too so this is what my plan is.
150 dollars which includes shipping. No need for a core charge because I will not even deal with them as far as that goes. The reason is, you don't know where a core came from and it may have problems and I don't want to send people ECUs which may have a problem. So basically you will have to send me your ECU and I will socket it and install a programmed chip. I will also send you your original chip back with instuctions on how you can reinstall it if needed.This is for a stand alone ECU upgrade and I will only mess with fuel maps if you tell me exactly what you are running and that you want it to be done. I would rather not mess with the fuel maps because any change to your system would require a change to your map. I would mainly be offering a standard ECU upgrade such as the JWTs. I'm not knocking Ash or JWT's work. They (or at least Ash that I know of) are doing some deeper work into the functions of the ECU and you could look at their price as paying for the effort of their work in providing you a max tuned system. I, on the other hand, would just be trying to provide you with a basic ECU upgrade at a cheaper cost.
